Principals Auditions
Tuesday 26th September
8:00pm
Jack – Our hero. Jack wouldn’t be the brightest bulb but has a charm about him. He is adventurous and a bit of a dreamer.
Polly- Our Dame and Jack’s mother. Polly is down on her luck but hasn’t lost any of her wit.
Jill- Our leading lady and the girl next door. Jill is a fun-loving girl, who loves to get involved and go on an adventure.
Lord Von Shutyourtrap – Our Baddie. Lord VonS is a German character. He comes to the town to develop on the land and wants to kick Jack & Polly out of their house.
Wott – Lord’s son. Wott is also German, but a bit of a dope!
Hendrix – Jack’s best friend, a real “Howaya” Dub. Hendrix is a wheeler-dealer, and a Del-Boy type.
Giant – Our Giant lives in the Castle and wants to eat Jack.
Housekeeper – Housekeeper in the Castle with the Giant. She is a mystical, mysterious type of woman.
Golden Goose – (Cameo role) Goose lives in the Castle with the Giant. Sassy!
Fairy – Fairy has been sent to the town to find her destiny… but she doesn’t know what it is!
Inspector Jubblies – Local Policeman. He’s a D’Unbelievables type of character, a country man!
Daisy The Cow – … em.. a cow!
Audition pieces (scripts) will be available for each character, on the night.
Dance Auditions – Juniors
Thursday 28th September
7:00pm to 9:00pm
Registration begins at 6:45pm.
The Juniors group is suitable for ages up to 13 years.
Dance Auditions – Seniors
Thursday 28th September
9:00pm
Registration begins at 8:45pm.
The Seniors group is suitable for ages 13 and above.
All auditions will take place in our Prefab, at the rear of the grounds of Scoil Mhuire, Green Lane, Leixlip.
Jack & the Beanstalk will run in St Marys GAA, Green Lane, Leixlip on:
- 26th (7:30pm), 27th (2:30pm, 7:30pm) & 28th (2:30pm) January and
- 2nd (7:30pm), 3rd (2:30pm, 7:30pm) & 4th (2:30pm) February 2018.
