Cinderella Auditions: September!
Leixlip Musical & Variety Group is thrilled to present “Cinderella“, an original Leixlip panto, this coming January-February and with auditions now confirmed for September.
We can’t wait to see oodles of regular members, and EVEN MORE NEW ONES at our auditions coming soon. So get ready – you definitely don’t want to miss this one!

Dance Auditions
- Wednesday 14th September 2016
- Ages 6+ @ 7:00pm

Cast Auditions (aged 16+ only)

- Character List for Cast Auditions:
- Cinderella – Leading lady. Sweet, caring and always looking out for others. Singing required.
- Buttons – Loveable, funny, a bit stupid, in love with Cinders, has to be able to interact with the audience. Singing required.
- Wicked Stepmother – Married Cinderella’s father, but only did it for his money. Despises Cinderella with a passion and treat her terribly. Likes to think she’s posh! Singing required.
- Ugly Sisters – Panto Dames. Obnoxious, loud, love themselves. Think they’re only gorgeous! Like to bully Cinderella and Buttons too.
- Prince Charming – Handsome, good singing voice with good comic timing needed. Singing required.
- Dandini – Prince’s Charming’s aide and best friend. Has a very dry wit and can be camp.
- Fairy Godmother – magical, angelical, good singing voice. Also appears in disguise at beginning of the show.
- King Charming/Randy – Prince’s father. Ancient, doddery, old man, but is still young at heart and chases every piece of skirt in town.
- Evening Herald – The Royal Announcer. Works in the Palace. Comic acting required.
- As well as being asked to read through some script pieces for your preferable character(s), please also prepare a song of your own choosing!

The dance groups are generally Juniors (aged 6+) and Seniors (aged 12+). But there is no maximum age for the main parts and cast auditions on 21st. Hope to see you there!!

So the list of parts for which we’ll be auditioning, are in the post above now. If you are interested in one or more, you’ll be asked to read through some pieces of script on the night (you’ll get some time to prepare this!). You might be asked to read through with other people auditioning for other parts. Lastly, you’ll also be asked to sing a song of your own choosing! Hope this helps?
What does my daughter have to wear for the dancers audition

I’d just recommend any gear that she feels comfortable dancing in! Runners especially!
